Enfield shops still open for business
People living in flats to rent in the London borough of Enfield, and other property in the area, will still be able to visit shops in the area.
Despite the riots taking place across London, Enfield Council has vowed to help its businesses remain open to the public.
Councillor Chris Bond said street workers have been doing a "marvellous job" in the area, successfully clearing away debris caused during the riots. He said: "We will not surrender our streets".
He added that he believed the police have done a good job throughout the process.
"They responded robustly in the initial disturbances which was right and we have worked with them to ensure Enfield Town is open for business," Mr Bond said.
The council is calling for any businesses which were affected during the riots to contact the Business Rates Section immediately to seek advice and assistance.
