Enfield Council helps residents reduce bills
Those living in flats to rent in the London borough of Enfield and other property in the area are being offered a range of energy and water saving measures.
Enfield Council and Southern Electric have formed a partnership to help local residents to cut their household bills while also doing something positive for the environment.
Councillor Ahmet Oykener, cabinet member for housing at Enfield Council, explained that the new scheme is helping to bring properties in Enfield up to the Decent Homes standard.
"Free energy and water saving measures may be available to you if you are a homeowner or renting from a private landlord," he added.
Mr Oykener went on to say that people may be able to take up offers from Southern Electric regardless of who their own gas and electricity supplier is.
Last night (March 8th), independent retailers from East Enfield graduated from a commerciality training programme aimed at boosting their profits and the services they offer to their local communities.
