Could new parking strategy benefit people in flats to rent in Redbridge?
People looking at flats to rent in the London borough of Redbridge may be pleased to hear of a new parking strategy in the region.
During a review undertaken by the cabinet, it was decided that the number of pay and display parking zones in the area could be increased.
Similarly, changes to footway parking will be considered and arrangements for residents with permits to leave their vehicles in designated places may be extended.
Councillor Michelle Dunn, cabinet member for Highways, said the aim of the review is to make life better for those in Redbridge by addressing "indiscriminate and commuter parking".
She added: "A substantial amount of work has been undertaken in recent years to review parking policies."
Meanwhile, it has been announced many facilities in Redbridge will become training grounds for athletes during the 2012 Olympic Games in the capital.
A new £6 million hall will also be constructed at Redbridge Sports Centre.
