Barnet children to decide on new play areas
Youngsters living in property to rent in the London borough of Barnet have been invited to have their say on the equipment which should be included in new play areas.
Two playgrounds will be improved in the borough, both of which are located along one of the best-loved walks in Barnet.
Schoolchildren are being called on to put forward their ideas as to how the play areas can be improved.
They will be asked to complete a questionnaire detailing their favourite bits of play equipment, as well as their best play area activities.
On top of input from children, local people and residents groups will be able to share their opinions.
"We know our residents and their children really enjoy using the walk and it's play areas. Now we're giving them a chance to improve these play areas," said cabinet member for environment at Barnet Council councillor Brian Coleman.
A report released earlier this month revealed the changes people living in Barnet will see affecting them over the coming years.
Councillor Richard Cornelius, leader of Barnet Council, said he hoped it would outline the things the council will concentrate on.
