BAA in £230 million Crossrail deal
Crossrail has agreed a £230 million funding deal with the British Airports Authority (BAA) to help develop the service.
The agreement will see Crossrail running four trains a day from Heathrow across to Shenley, Abbey Wood and Canary Wharf via Central London.
Minister for transport Lord Adonis said: "Today's announcement that BAA have confirmed a £230 million funding package for the project represents a major step towards its delivery."
Such a move may help make the areas concerned more accessible and better places in which to rent a property, with boroughs benefiting including Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Barking & Dagenham and Greenwich.
Today's news is the latest move forwards in the building of Crossrail.
It was recently announced that the interchange station at Tottenham Court Road will be upgraded, with one of the features being a tickets hall six times the current size.
