Youngsters in Hackney offered summer activities
Young people living in flats to rent in the London borough of Hackney and other types of property in the area are being offered a range of activities to take part in over the summer.
Hackney Council has launched a Summer Activities Guide, which details all of the indoor and outdoor classes, sessions and events that are taking place across the borough.
This is part of the council's commitment to making the borough a good place to grow up in.
Councillor Rita Krishna, cabinet member for children's services, said: "The summer activities programme offers a great variety of things to do across the borough while allowing young people to display their fantastic talent and resourcefulness."
The activities include the national Summer Reading Challenge, which starts on July 16th and the London Swim School programme for 5-15 year olds.
At the end of last month, the new play area in Clissold Park was opened to youngsters in the area.
