Westminster residents to learn about Olympic road closures
Those living in property to rent in the London borough of Westminster are being invited to attend drop-in sessions about the road closures that will take place in their area during the 2012 Olympic Games.
Plans for the routes between the Westminster Olympic venues and accommodation sites were announced back in July 2010.
Transport for London (TFL) has taken on responsibility for the Olympic Route Network.
Westminster Council said it has worked with TFL to represent local residents' interests and "minimise disruption".
Those who want to find out more can attend one of a number of free sessions, the first of which is taking place at room four of the Westminster City Council building, 215 Lisson Grove, from 13:00-16:00 BST.
On Thursday July 26th 2012, Westminster will host an evening celebration event to mark the arrival of the Olympic flame in London.
The torch will visit every London borough from Saturday July 21st to the 27th.
