Traffic improvements in Kensington and Chelsea
Changes to the transport infrastructure in Kensington and Chelsea are being implemented this week.
According to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, people using the roads in the area will witness a different flow of traffic while the developments take place.
Once everything has been completed, the local authority hopes the general state of the roads will be improved and the Exhibition Road area will become a "spectacular space for all to enjoy".
An "outdated" one-way traffic route located around South Kensington Underground Station will be adapted to provide space for a large pavement area.
This station is used by Londoners who want to access the District, Circle and Piccadilly London Underground lines.
Councillors involved in the project think the final result will make for an improved environment for both drivers and pedestrians.
Residents of flats to rent in Kensington will be among those who will hope to enjoy any new facilities created as a result of the scheme.
