Tenants in flats to rent in London may decide to visit 'swishing events'
Tenants living in flats to rent in the London boroughs of Hammersmith, Hounslow, Lambeth and Croydon may like to take part in one of the swishing events that are taking place in their area.
Recycle of London is putting on a week of swapping parties across the capital that allow people to trade in their unwanted clothes for another item.
With several boroughs getting involved in the events, which start on Saturday (November 20th), there are plenty of opportunities for those in flats to rent to create some space in their wardrobes - before filling them up again with other items - without it costing them any money.
On Saturday, the Stonemason's Arms in Hammersmith will host a swishing event from 14:00 GMT to 16:00 GMT, with people attending asked to bring five items of clothing or accessories that are clean and in good condition.
Similar evenings are then being held in Hounslow Civic Centre on Monday, upstairs at the Ritzy, Brixton Oval in Lambeth on Tuesday and at Croydon library the following Saturday.
According to founder of Swishing Lucy Shea, the idea behind the events is to save the planet, money and have a party.
