Residents of property in Hammersmith 'satisfied with services'
Residents of property in Hammersmith & Fulham are increasingly happy with the services they receive, it has been found.
According to the borough council, overall satisfaction with its performance has gone from 53 per cent in 2005-06 to 59 per cent currently.
Most people (72 per cent) feel that work is being done to improve safety, a figure that was at 59 per cent in 2005.
There have also been rises of three percentage points in the number of people who say they are satisfied with parks and with refuse collection.
Leader of the council Stephen Greenhalgh stated: "I know that government auditors have already given us the highest rating possible for our services but I am more interested in what residents think."
The authority has also cited figures from the police, which show that the level of violent crime in the area has dropped in the past year.
Youth violence has seen a 15 per cent fall, equivalent to 71 offences, while the number of gun crimes has decreased by 34, meaning it has halved.
