Residents of flats to rent in Westminster awarded for contributions
Residents of flats to rent in the London borough of Westminster have been honoured for their contributions to their community.
Last night (January 20th), the six winners of Westminster Council's Living City Awards were announced.
They beat over 100 other nominees to win the awards and they each received £500 to help them to continue their good work.
Dolly Cuthbert, who runs an over-50s club at Greenside Community Centre in Church Street, won an award for bringing the community together.
Ms Cuthbert said that she will use the money from the award to take the centre's members away for a day.
"I am delighted to have been honoured in this way, especially as I came second a couple of years ago," she added.
Earlier this week, residents of property to rent in the London borough of Westminster who are planning to hold a street party to celebrate the Royal Wedding were told by their local council that they should apply as early as possible for permission.
