Private renters 'growing in importance'
People looking for property to rent in London are being told that two-thirds of private renters are unlikely to buy their own home in the next five years.
This is according to a survey by Kensington, which also revealed that 74 per cent of tenants between the ages of 35 and 44 also have no intention of purchasing an abode before 2015.
Furthermore, they have indicated that nine in ten renters are pessimistic about the situation facing first-time buyers, while 68 per cent said they expect demand for residential lettings to grow.
This follows a similar survey by Spareroom earlier this week, which showed tenants feeling that owning a pad was out of their reach.
With two surveys showing how many people feel they will not buy a home soon, many individuals may consider looking for property to rent in the London borough of Brent or elsewhere in the country.
