People renting in London 'set to benefit from cable car network'
The body in charge of improving and maintaining London's transport system has unveiled plans to create a cable car network linking Greenwich with the Royal Docks on the north bank of the River Thames.
With improvements to the rail network linking the centre of city with Stratford and the Olympic Park, including a Eurostar terminal, this proposal by Transport for London (TFL) is hoping to create a low-emission direct link for visitors.
Although TFL admitted that the plans are in the early stages and require greater detail, commuters, including those who rent property in London, would be able to use an Oyster card - already used on the London Underground and bus networks - to gain access.
With the proposal of a cable car network and an ongoing regeneration in the in numerous parts of the city ahead of the Olympic Games in the summer of 2012, perhaps more people will consider looking for property to rent in the London borough of Newham.
