People in flats to rent in Kingston-upon-Thames could attend community open day
People living in flats to rent in Kingston-upon-Thames may consider attending a neighbourhood open day this month, during which Santa will be making an appearance.
The event is being organised by the New Maiden Rotary Club on November 26th from 15:30 GMT and will see the Christmas lights being switched on by Father Christmas himself.
In addition to a school choir and refreshments, residents will have the chance to talk to Kingston Council representatives and other local bodies about services that are available in the area and voice any priorities and issues they have.
Residents of the borough - including those in flats to rent - who attend the open day will be able to chat to members of the Maidens and Coombe Neighbourhood Committee, which is responsible for public services such as youth centres, local libraries and planning applications.
Earlier this month, the council invited older members of the community to join the mayor at the annual Christmas Party in December.
