New hotline may benefit people in flats to rent in Ealing
Residents occupying flats to rent in the London borough of Ealing may benefit from the introduction of a Grimebusters hotline to report any incidents that take place.
The move has been approved by the council and will be launched later this year, with the service being available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.
Councillor Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for transport and environment, said one of the major issues for community members is the cleanliness of the streets.
"Residents want to know that they can easily report problems with graffiti and fly-tipping at a time that is convenient to them," he added.
Mr Mahfouz noted it is unacceptable for some reports to be ignored for up to four days and said under the new system, officers would try to deal with a problem inside 24 hours.
A public meeting took place yesterday (October 14th) at St Melius Church on Church Road to discuss proposals concerning the plan to alter the junction in Hanwell between Church Road and Uxbridge Road.
