New bus station for White City
Hammersmith & Fulham residents are set to benefit from a new bus station in the borough.
The White City bus station is due to open on Saturday, with nine routes being extended to service it.
Transport for London revealed that it will provide easy access to buses for White City Estate residents, while those visiting the new Westfield shopping development will find that the station is located next to one of the entrances.
Director of strategy for surface transport Dick Halle remarked: "This modern bus station has been designed to be easy to use for all passengers with consideration for those who are older, disabled or weighed down with shopping, pushchairs or baggage."
Around 100,000 passengers are expected to use the station each day, with 135 bus movements each hour.
Earlier this month a new bus station opened in the Beckton area of Newham, with features including 24-hour digital CCTV.
