Mayor reveals strategy to improve quality of life for residents of property in London
A review of the London Plan has been published, with Mayor Boris Johnson setting out ways he intends to improve the quality of life for residents of the capital.
The document outlines a vision for the next 20 years, with a range of areas addressed in a bid to ensure development.
Those living in flats to rent in Chelsea and across London may be interested to note that the topics featured include improved access to jobs, as well as transport and housing issues.
"Whilst London faces many big challenges there are major opportunities too," said Mr Johnson. "A growing population will support a growing economy, with more people wanting more goods and services."
Climate change is also being considered in the London Plan, with steps to develop sustainable resources included.
Mr Johnson recently urged the government to improve funding for efforts to increase the number of electric cars in the capital, as part of plans to improve the environment.
