Landlords 'feeling comfortable about 2010'
The majority of UK landlords are feeling confident about the state of the buy-to-let market, new research has revealed.
An Upad.co.uk report shows that 58 per cent of landlords are more confident than they were last month.
It is believed the reduction in the number of accidental landlords - people who rent out their home when they are unable to sell it - has eased the level of supply, meaning that the period where properties lie void could now be eased.
Such news may be welcomed by people looking for flats to rent in Blackheath or another part of London, as a confident landlord may be less likely to put up the price of rent.
Commenting on the news, Chris Horne, editor at Property Hawk, said: "I think [in the] case where landlords have got good tenants in that are able to pay the rents, then they are feeling fairly comfortable."
