Kensington and Chelsea park given safety award
St Luke's Gardens has been given a Silver Award for safety, people living in property to rent in the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea may be interested to learn.
The award is part of the Mayor of London Boris Johnson's Safer Park Award scheme.
It was given to the gardens in recognition of the work that has been undertaken by Kensington and Chelsea Council's Parks Police Service to ensure the park is a safe place to visit.
Cabinet member for leisure, councillor Nick Paget-Brown, said: "I am delighted that the Mayor of London has recognised the hard work of our Park Police officers and partners with this award."
There were 31 winners in the Safer Park Award scheme; 12 of these were gold, 11 were silver and eight were bronze.
Russia Dock Woodland in Southwark, South Park Gardens in Merton and Barking Park in Barking and Dagenham were among those that won Silver Awards.
