Kensington academy and leisure centre consultation opens
A new academy and leisure centre could soon be improving the appeal of property to rent in the Royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The local council is seeking the views of residents on the Kensington Academy and Leisure Centre which has been proposed for the Lancaster West Estate in north Kensington.
People will be able to submit their opinions on the development for six weeks. The consultation opened on Tuesday (January 25th) and will run until March 8th.
In addition, Kensington and Chelsea Council will host three consultation events for residents looking to learn more about the proposal. These will be held on February 2nd, 9th and 22nd.
Councillor Daniel Moylan, deputy leader of the council, said: "The planning brief is our way of making sure that any future development delivers what is needed for local people."
Earlier this month, the government confirmed that it will provide £17.6 million in funding to the Kensington Academy and Leisure Centre project.
