"Keenly-priced" property to rent in Kensington
People looking for property to rent in Kensington may find some "keenly-priced" options as many part-time City workers are looking to let out their "crash pads", according to property consultants Cluttons.
The company estimates that there has been a 15 per cent increase in these Central London flats and houses - known as pied-a-terre properties - opening up a new market for those looking for property to rent in Kensington at "very competitive" rates.
Cluttons lettings partner Louisa Woodbridge commented: "This has created new opportunities for more London tenants to live in some of the most desirable central locations, at rents they can afford."
These properties include a one-bedroom apartment off High Street Kensington near Holland Park, as well as a number of other prime areas, she added.
Younger people are positive about renting property than they may have been previously, as it offers them increased flexibility and does not tie them down in the long-term, according to iammoving.com.
