Jarvis Cocker brings art exhibition to Shoreditch
Former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker has this week held a live exhibition at an art gallery in Shoreditch.
The Britpop singer - who once famously invaded the stage of the Brit Awards during Michael Jackson's controversial performance of Earth Song - set up his exhibition at the Village Underground gallery.
And the three-day event was not the typical art display, with the musician arranging performances in improvisation, burlesque, yoga, pole-dancing, live graffiti, hula-hooping, circus skills and poetry readings.
He also invited fellow musicians to pop in and perform to visitors.
Such news may convince people looking for flats to rent in Shoreditch that they have made the right decision if they are looking for something different in terms of entertainment.
Cocker previously tried out the exhibition in Paris.
Speaking to the Guardian, he said: "I wanted to look at another way of presenting music rather than just putting on a show."
