Havering Council vows to waive street party fees for royal wedding
Havering Council has decided to waive the fee for hosting street parties to celebrate the royal wedding.
This is news which could please residents living in property to rent in the London borough of Havering who want to celebrate the nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton in this manner.
The council said it will waive fees for road closures and published a guide for people planning a street party.
Residents living in flats to rent in the London borough of Havering are being urged to apply immediately to host a party, with the latest possible date being March 28th.
The council website features downloadable copies of the application form, as well as advice about road closures, signage, licensing and street decorations.
Councillor Michael White, leader of Havering Council, said: "We want people in Havering to have a right royal time and celebrate what will be a joyous and memorable event without worry or stress, so we have made the application process as simple as possible by publishing this advice guide."
On Sunday March 6th, Havering is holding a free family BikeWise event at Hornchurch Country Park.
