Hammersmith residents to see parking charge freeze
Individuals looking for flats to rent in Hammersmith may be interested to learn that local authorities are planning a freeze on parking charges and permits in the area.
Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F) Council made the announcement last Friday (December 2nd) that it plans to hold its fourth pay freeze in five years, with standard parking set to be held at its current level of £2.20 for pay and display and £2.80 in the busier town centre.
"As part of this listening exercise we are not increasing parking charges next year but instead will focus on enforcing the rules that already exist," commented councillor Nick Botterill, H&F Council deputy leader.
He added that the council hopes to show its support to local residents by offering some financial respite during these difficult economic times.
Furthermore, the council also recently announced a renovation of its signage in the area, with a focus on removing duplicated signs, creating more concise designs and generally making the streets less cluttered and life easier for motorists.
