Hammersmith residents to benefit from new sports facilities
People living in property to rent in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham are soon to benefit from new sports facilities.
Hammersmith and Fulham Council has announced its intention to refurbish the 11-a-side football pitch on South Africa Road and build a larger sports complex next to it.
More detailed plans are still being drawn up, but the council has said that the complex could include a number of different sized football pitches as well as a multi-use games area and pavilion.
Councillor Greg Smith said: "Hammersmith and Fulham is one of the sportiest boroughs in London and we are delighted that Hammersmith Park will soon have first-class sports pitches."
He went on to say that the council is "committed to providing excellent sporting facilities" for all of those living in the borough.
Earlier this week, the Hammersmith and Fulham News reported the results of a survey of property experts.
They suggested that sales and rental markets in the borough will perform steadily this year, with one or two areas expected to do particularly well.
