Hackney residents invited to community meeting
People living in flats to rent in the London borough of Hackney are being invited to attend a community meeting relating to events occurring in their area in 2012.
At the meeting, attendees will be able to hear about the plans for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
They will learn about the test events set to take place in the new Olympic Park and also gain information on some of the jobs that will be made available.
Attendees can also find out about becoming an Olympic volunteer, being part of the community sports and cultural Olympiads, and learn about the local transport plans for the Games.
The meeting is to take place on Monday June 20th from 17:30 -20:30 BST at the Wally Foster Community Centre on Homerton Road.
Hackney Town Hall, meanwhile, will be holding an event on June 30th, at which those living in property to rent in the London borough of Hackney will be able to learn more about becoming foster parents.
