Greenwich residents to gain free meals at new restaurant
Free meals are to be offered to people living in flats to rent in the London borough of Greenwich when a new restaurant opens in the area later this month.
The new Harvester eatery at the O2 is to open on Tuesday February 22nd and it is set to employ more than 30 people in bar, waiting and kitchen jobs, the News Shopper reports.
"We want to invite 150 volunteers to sample a complimentary two-course meal from the freshly prepared dishes on our salad and grill menu on Saturday February 19th," said the restaurant's manager Jahid Rahman.
He went on to say that the new eatery will have a "modern yet casual" feel and will provide the prefect environment for people to enjoy a relaxing meal with friends or family members.
Greenwich Council is currently urging people living in property to rent in the London borough of Greenwich to tell the world about the fairtrade products that they use.
This is ahead of Fairtrade Fortnight, which starts later this month, running from February 28th to March 13th.
