Green space regeneration planned for Shepherds Bush
Plans have been unveiled to regenerate Shepherds Bush Common as part of a scheme to improve parks and open spaces.
The £3 million initiative could benefit those choosing flats to rent in Hammersmith, which borders the district.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council revealed that a planning application includes a playground for children aged five to 12, as well as public toilets, a cafe and a toddlers' play area.
Paul Bristow, cabinet member for residents' services, remarked: "This project will benefit the whole of the community, breathing new life into a green space that needs regenerating."
A recent consultation indicated that 73 per cent of local people think the suggestions are 'good' or 'very good' and the council's planning committee is due to make a decision in July.
Meanwhile, those living in the London borough of Camden are set to see 29 children's play areas built or enhanced as part of a £2.7 million scheme.
