Fireworks display to be started by individual occupying flat to rent in Lewisham?
Any tenants occupying flats to rent in the London borough of Lewisham can bid to be a part of a VIP night at the biggest fireworks display in South London.
Following a shortfall in its budget for the show this year, Lewisham Council has found ways to try and raise funds to cover the deficit.
By logging onto eBay and bidding on the exclusive package, an individual will be given the chance to launch the display if they place the highest offer.
Access for up to ten people to a private viewing area for the show's duration, a personal tour of the firing zone from fireworks experts and food and drinks vouchers that can be used on the night are all incorporated into the deal.
Bidding on the package opened last Thursday and closes at 19:00 BST this Sunday (October 31st).
According to View London, there are several fireworks displays taking place across London on November 5th, including shows in the Boroughs of Southwark and Walthamstow.
