Are flats to rent in London perfect for workers?
flats to rent in the London borough of Sutton may be ideal for the many people in the UK who claim living in close proximity to work is important to them.
Conducted by Santander, research found 34 per cent of individuals dwelling in the capital want to be near their office.
A total of 34 per cent stated being close to family and friends was crucial for them when finding an abode, while 31 per cent cited good transport links as influencing where they chose to settle down.
This was in contract the rest of the UK, which put being near loved ones as their number one deciding factor.
Santander spokesperson Andy Smith said people who elect to dwell in London will be unsurprised by the importance of good transportation, "but it is revealing that the capital is the only place in the UK where friends and family aren't the top factor governing where they live".
Lucian Cook, director at Savills, recently explained there is a north-south divide in property prices in the UK.
