Wandsworth residents take part in Junior Citizen scheme
Children living in flats to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth and other types of property in the area are taking part in the popular Junior Citizen scheme.
This two-week scheme is held twice a year and teaches Year 5 pupils how they can keep out of danger.
Chairman of Junior Citizen, councillor Angela Graham, said: "We know that what children learn at Junior Citizen stays with them and helps them know what to do when they face real dangers."
She went on to say that she is really proud of the scheme as it is extremely valuable to youngsters in the borough.
The scheme has provided training to more than 30,000 children since it was set up 24 years ago.
Recently, the council invited those living in the London borough of Wandsworth who care for a loved one or relative to a special Carers' Week celebration at the Civic Suite on June 15th.
