Wandsworth residents have say on town centre plans
Residents of property to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth are being urged to express their feelings about their town centre and how it should be changed in the future.
New retail, leisure, residential, employment and educational opportunities have been created in the town centre in recent years as part of a regeneration programme that is still continuing.
The Wandsworth Town Centre Partnership now wants to establish what else local people would like to see in their town centre.
A statement on the council's website said: "The views generated by an online survey will be used to decide the priorities of the partnership board and the Wandsworth town centre manager over the next three years."
Those residents of flats to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth and other housing in the area who take part will be entered into a prize draw for ten pairs of cinema tickets.
Tonight (February 9th), the restoration of a cemetery in the Tooting area of Wandsworth is to be the subject of illustrated talks organised by the Tooting Local History Group.
