Wandsworth listed building to be restored
A listed building close to property to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth is to be restored.
Wandsworth Council approved plans to bring the former school keeper's cottage at Brandlehow School, which is located in Putney, back into use.
The cottage was given listed building status back in 1993, but was partially demolished in 2007.
This led to a developer being fined a total of £36,000 for carrying out an unauthorised demolition and failing to comply with planning laws.
Planning chairman councillor Nick Cuff said: "People living near to Brandlehow will be delighted that a new permission is now in place to repair and restore this important building."
The cottage, which was built in 1952, is to be transformed into four affordable homes.
Earlier this month, those living in property to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth were given the opportunity to voice their opinions on refuse, recycling and street cleaning priorities for the next eight years.
