Sustainable transport initiative aimed at residents of property in Richmond
Those living in property in Richmond-upon-Thames could be set to benefit as a result of investment in sustainable transport.
The borough council and Transport for London are providing more than £4 million, with the aim of encouraging more people to walk, cycle and use public transport.
Cycle training sessions are to be held in schools as well as workplaces, while new cycle routes and parking spaces are planned.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson remarked: "This scheme will help make Richmond-upon-Thames an even greener, healthier place for people to live and work," adding: "It will also contribute towards cutting the capital's carbon dioxide emissions."
Those who are living in property in Richmond-upon-Thames will also see improved signage and mapping when walking.
Last month, RingGo announced that it had launched its phone parking service in the borough, with drivers being able to pay for on and off-street parking by calling a number from their mobile.
