Safer Croydon Partnership successfully driving down crime
Efforts to drive down crime levels in Croydon have so far been successful.
Residents living in property to rent in the London borough of Croydon will soon be able to see the results of the Safer Croydon Partnership's work over the past 12 months, when a report is presented to the council's cabinet.
Over the past year, the partnership, which comprises the council, police and other organisations, has helped slash the number of crimes taking place in the area by 2.8 per cent.
Good news for those living in flats to rent in the London borough of Croydon is that there has been a sharp drop in violent crimes, including those committed by young people.
"The work we are all doing to make the borough safer must continue and we will make sure that it does," said councillor Steve O'Connell, cabinet member for community safety at Croydon Council.
Recently, the council announced its free swimming for under-16s scheme will continue until September this year, rather than stopping in March as was previously stated.
