Richmond residents to benefit from council tax freeze?
People living in flats to rent in the London borough of Richmond could benefit from another freeze of council tax rates.
Richmond Council has announced that it is considering another freeze in these bills for the 2012-13 financial year.
Members of the council's finance scrutiny committee are to comment on the suggestion over the course of the next month.
Councillor Geoffrey Samuel, Richmond Council's cabinet member for finance and resources, said: "We want the whole process of setting our budgets to be as open and clear as possible, in order for everyone to see how we arrange our spending."
He went on to say that he expects local people to have their say on the matter over the coming weeks and that all of the views expressed will be taken into consideration before any decisions are made.
Earlier this month, an All in One area planning meeting took place in the Sheen Lane Centre, giving people living in property to rent in the London borough of Richmond the opportunity to have their say in issues surrounding their local area.
