Merton residents reminded about Census
Those living in property to rent in the London borough of Merton are being urged to return their completed Census forms in order to avoid a hefty fine.
Merton Council said a great number of Census forms have been returned so far, but a large percentage has not.
Keith Richmond, 2011 Census area manager for Merton, said: "Thanks to everyone that has completed their form so far - you have done your bit to help Merton take shape in the future."
Those who have not returned their Census forms will soon be visited by one of his team, who replace any lost forms or help with any queries.
Residents have also been reminded that they can also fill in their forms online at www.census.gov.uk by using the individual identification number on the front of their paper form.
Last month, Merton Council announced that those living in flats to rent or other property in the area could gain financial help and support from a new credit union.
