Hampton to gain family centre
Those living in property to rent in the London borough of Richmond Upon Thames will be able to visit a new family centre in Hampton next year.
Richmond Council's Cabinet have approved plans for the new centre, which will be located at what is now Tangley Hall day centre.
Services for people with dementia will be moved from Tangley Hall to the new centre of excellence at Ham.
This will take place in September, so the transformation of the hall into a children's centre will take place over the winter, opening in January.
Councillor Christine Percival, Richmond Council's cabinet member for education, youth and children's services, said: "It makes sense to establish a family centre which this part of the borough has needed for several years."
Earlier this month, ideas for regenerating Twickenham following the Barefoot Consultation and the Twickenham Conference were put on display.
Those living in flats to rent in the London borough of Richmond Upon Thames are being encouraged to share their views on the ideas.
