Flats to rent in Wandsworth 'must be good quality'
Tenants can rest assured that the quality of flats to rent in Wandsworth is policed following a recent decision by the area's planning authorities.
On July 14th, the body took the decision to enforce action against a dwelling which had been converted from a single house into two flats.
Planning applications chair Leslie McDonnell comments that the body has "a reasonability" to maintain the standard of flats to rent in Wandsworth by taking action against "ill-conceived conversions".
In the case of this decision, the property was below the minimum size threshold of 120 sq m in order for a conversion to be considered.
"It means the units created from the sub-division are simply too cramped," the planning official adds.
Wandsworth Council permits residents to view details of planning applications in person at the Town Hall building on Wandsworth High Street, including opening times on Saturday mornings for those who work throughout the week.
