Fair Field area of Croydon to be regenerated
The Fair Field area of Croydon is to be regenerated so it becomes the hub of the borough once again.
People with flats to rent in Croydon may want to express this point when trying to lease their properties.
Two drop-in sessions have been arranged - on March 29th and 31st - and residents are being encouraged to come along and offer their opinion on what they think should happen.
Fair Field is home to two of the most important institutions in the area - Fairfield Halls and Croydon College - and so there is huge potential for a programme to be instigated.
"The Fair Field Masterplan will provide a phased long-term framework for delivering the transformation of the area. Crucially, it will also involve proposals for making change happen now," Croydon Council remarked.
Since the 1960s, the area has become disconnected from the rest of the town centre and it is hoped the proposals will deal with this.
