"Exciting times" for Merton as businesses receive support
Companies in Merton are to receive support from the new Business Generator Centre.
The centre is officially being opened by former Dragons' Den contestant Levi Roots later this month and is aimed at helping both new and established businesses.
Known as a business incubator, it is based in Mitcham and provides help with the day-to-day running of a firm.
Diane Neil Mills, Merton Council's cabinet member for regeneration, noted that it will improve quality of life in the borough and adds to the opening of Mitcham Eastfields station, which provides a link to Central London.
"These are very exciting times for Mitcham … with the opening of the business incubator we really are seeing a massive growth of business opportunities in the borough," she said.
Mitcham Eastfields station was officially opened in June, providing residents with access to Central London in less than 20 minutes.
