Boris Bikes to be extended to Wandsworth residents?
Residents living in property to rent in the London borough of Wandsworth, as well as others in the area, may soon benefit from the Boris Bikes scheme.
The London mayor's initiative, which has so far proved to be very popular, is set to be extended to the borough and could be in the area as soon as 2013.
If it goes ahead, residents will see a number of docking stations positioned at key points around the borough - such as in busy shopping areas and close to stations.
"The discussions are at an early stage, but we are very keen to explore the possibility of getting Boris Bikes to Wandsworth at the earliest possible opportunity," said councillor Russell King, transport spokesperson for Wandsworth.
Today (July 28th), there are a number of music workshops taking place in Balham, as part of the London Folk Festival.
The Bedford pub will play host to the events, which are free of charge.
