Barnes: Beautiful houses and plenty to do
Located in South-West London, in the borough of Richmond Upon Thames, Barnes is situated next to the river, is 5.8 miles west-south-west of Charing Cross and is in the postcode district SW13.

There are six primary schools in Barnes and nearby Mortlake and Sheen.
Of the pupils at Barnes Primary School who took their Key Stage 2 Sats tests last year, some 92 per cent achieved a Level 4 or above in English, 90 per cent in maths and 92 per cent in science.
There are also a number of great secondary schools in Richmond Upon Thames, including Orleans Park School.
In 2010, 71 per cent of Year 11 pupils at this school achieved five A* - C grades in their GCSE exams, which is much higher than the national average of 53.4 per cent.
Things to do
Those living in property to rent in Barnes will never be short of things to do as the area is teaming with great leisure, sports and entertainment facilities, restaurants and bars.
Barnes is home to the former Olympic Studios, at which The Beatles recorded the original track of All You Need is Love.
Other music greats that recorded at the studios included Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Queen.
Those with a passion for the arts should pay a visit to the Old Sorting Office, which features regular art exhibitions and theatre productions.
While, the Barnes Sports Club contains great facilities for those who like to keep fit. It offers hockey, tennis, cricket, lacrosse and squash sessions and also has a clubhouse where people can unwind and meet other people from the area.
