Art features in Croydon underpass
An art exhibition has taken up residence in a rather usual location in South Norwood.
Those living in property to rent in the London borough of Croydon will be able to see the art if they take a walk along the Norwood Junction Underpass.
The 180m-long photographic sequences, titled Long Way Home, depict two journeys from one side of Norwood Junction Station to the other.
Sara Bashford, cabinet member for customer services, culture and sports at Croydon Council, suggested that the scheme will make walking through the tunnel much more enjoyable than before.
"The underpass is used by hundreds of people every day - and many of them worked with the artist to create this installation in celebration of the community of South Norwood," she added.
Earlier this month, the council revealed that over 150 members of its staff gave up their time to help take telephone donations on Red Nose Day.
