London buyers 'will pay 2007 prices'
Londoners looking to own their own homes are being warned that property valuations are creeping up, despite long-term concerns in the industry.
The Times cited data from Fulham-based Estate Agent John D Wood which revealed a 45 per cent rise in valuations in the past 12 months.
Another London-based agent, Simon Barnes, told the publication that buyers were going to have to pay "2007 prices", assuming homes were coming on to the market.
This follows last week's figures from the National Housing Federation, which showed many young people living in the capital expected to wait around a decade before being able to afford their own home.
With the value of flats and houses in the capital appearing to be increasing, more people -rep may be encouraged to look for property to rent in the London borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, or elsewhere in the city, instead.
