People interested in property to rent in the London borough of Lambeth may be interested to read that the city's Mayor Boris Johnson is excited about plans to redevelop Elephant & Castle.
London SE1 reports that Johnson told guests at a civic reception that the project was an "amazing prospect" and also praised the Olympic live big screen which is set be situated at nearby Jubilee Gardens, one of the four outdoor sites where the city's residents can watch the Games in 2012.
The scheme, at one of capital's busiest interchanges which is often branded the "Piccadilly of South London", including the construction of hundreds of residential dwellings.
In addition, regeneration will also incorporate public space, retail opportunities and a family park across the project's eight construction sites.
With promises that local redevelopment will be an "amazing prospect", perhaps more people will consider looking for property to rent in the London borough of Lambeth.
