Residents of property in Kensington 'happy'
People living in flats to rent in Kensington & Chelsea and those residing in other properties in the borough are satisfied with their local area, it would seem.
According to the 2008-09 Place Survey, which was conducted by market research firm Ipsos Mori and published by the Communities and Local Government department, Kensington and Chelsea council received high levels of praise.
Indeed - at 72.2 per cent - the royal borough received the third highest level of residents' satisfaction in the whole of the UK.
With one of the most famous districts in London - Notting Hill - as well as plenty of high-class shopping facilities in and around Kensington, it is perhaps no surprise that the borough is so highly regarded.
Councillor Merrick Cockell, leader of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, said he was pleased at the results from the satisfaction survey.
"While this is clearly good news, there is no room for complacency and we will always look to improve. We now need to concentrate on delivering the services residents need in harder economic times."
