New rep for residents of property to rent in Lambeth
Landlords and tenants of property to rent in Lambeth will have a new person representing them, it has been revealed.
A statement released by the National Landlords Association (NLA) has indicated that MaryAnn Pearce, NLA regional representative for London, has taken on the position of chair of the Lambeth Private Sector Housing Forum.
The aim of the group is to address issues surrounding the private rented sector in the South London borough.
"I plan to bring the forum, the NLA and Lambeth Council together, addressing housing issues that not only affect Lambeth, but the private-rented sector as a whole," said Ms Pearce.
The NLA stated that the forum works to improve poor housing in Lambeth, as well as maintain existing good quality stock.
With Ian Austin MP recently being given responsibility for the private rented sector in the UK and the government focusing its attention on this part of the housing industry, Ms Pearce said now is a good time to get involved in the forum.
