Market displays could be viewed by people in flats to rent in Kensington & Chelsea
The markets in Portobello and Golborne may be visited by tenants living in flats to rent in the London borough of Kensington & Chelsea after they were decorated with Christmas lights.
As a result of the generosity of the Portobello and Golborne Management Committee, this is one of the most extensive festive illumination displays the stalls have ever seen.
Workers from the council assisted traders to install the decorations in order to help the popular markets get into the festive spirit.
"People love to visit the area's markets and the addition of the Christmas lights will further enhance its vibrant atmosphere," said councillor Nick Paget-Brown, cabinet member for the environment.
He added that the illuminations should make a visit to the stalls more enjoyable whether it is to purchase some seasonal vegetables or a Christmas gift.
Meanwhile, individuals living in flats to rent in Newham may decide to head to the switch-on of the Forest fate lights, which will feature performances from St James's Church of England, Bow and Godwin Primary Schools' choirs.
