Londoners 'most concerned about climate change'
Across the UK, it is the people residing in the capital who are the most concerned about the impact climate change may have on future generations, new research has revealed.
The survey by the Department of Energy and Climate Change revealed that 39 per cent of Londoners believe that climate change will "significantly" affect their lives.
With this in mind, people looking for flats to rent in Blackheath may wish to look for those which are more energy efficient and may include a new condensing boiler or double glazing.
Commenting on the news, energy and climate change minister Joan Ruddock said: "The results show that people don't realise that climate change is already underway and could have very severe consequences for their children's lives."
The Guardian recently suggested that tenants could place a reflective panel or sheet of aluminium foil behind their radiators to stop heat being absorbed through walls and therefore increase energy efficiency.
